UI/UX, web & app design

I design websites and apps that are easy to use and ready to build: from research and user flows to polished interfaces and a design system your team can reuse.

[ How it works ]

The UI/UX design process

Eight stages where every decision is checked against three things at once: what the business needs, what the people using it need, and what your team can build well. Nothing moves on until all three agree.

  1. Week 1

    Discovery & business goals

We start with the business, not the screens: goals, revenue or cost targets, stakeholders, deadline and budget. I also map the technical reality early: stack, existing systems, integrations, compliance and team capacity.

    Deliverables

    • Product brief
    • Success metrics (KPIs)
    • Constraints map
  2. Week 1–2

    User research & audit

Interviews, analytics, support tickets and session recordings show what people really do and where they get stuck. I add a heuristic review of the current product and a scan of competitors, so we design from evidence, not opinion.

    Deliverables

    • Research insights
    • Personas & jobs-to-be-done
    • Heuristic audit
  3. Week 2

    Strategy & prioritisation

Every idea is scored on user value, business impact and effort to build. We agree on a focused first release (MVP) and what waits, so budget goes where it moves the metrics.

    Deliverables

    • Prioritised roadmap
    • MVP scope
    • Risk list
  4. Week 2–3

    Information architecture & flows

Sitemap, navigation, content model and the key user flows, including empty, error and edge cases that are usually forgotten. Developers review the flows early, before anything is drawn in detail.

    Deliverables

    • Sitemap
    • User flows
    • Content & data model
  5. Week 3

    Wireframes & feasibility

Low-fidelity layouts focus the discussion on structure and function, not colour. Each key screen is checked with your developers for data, APIs, performance budget and effort, so the design stays buildable.

    Deliverables

    • Wireframes
    • Feasibility notes
    • Performance budget
  6. Week 3–5

    Visual design & design system

Interface design that supports the brand and the conversion goals, built on reusable tokens and components from day one. Accessibility (WCAG AA), responsive behaviour and motion are designed in, not added at the end.

    Deliverables

    • High-fidelity UI
    • Design tokens & components
    • Accessibility checks
  7. Week 5–6

    Prototype & usability testing

A clickable prototype is tested with real users on the tasks that matter. We measure task success, time and confusion points, fix what fails, and only then spend money on development.

    Deliverables

    • Clickable prototype
    • Test report
    • Prioritised fixes
  8. Week 6+

    Handoff, build support & measure

Developer-ready specs, assets and states, then design QA on the real build. Analytics events and an A/B test plan are set up so after launch we check the results against the KPIs from stage one and keep improving.

    Deliverables

    • Dev-ready specs
    • Design QA review
    • Tracking & test plan
