Logo & branding

A brand is more than a logo. I build logos and identity systems (colour, type, layout and tone) so your brand looks and feels consistent on every screen and every printed piece.

[ How it works ]

The logo design process

Nine stages from the first question to the final file kit. Strategy comes before drawing, and every mark is built on a grid and tested small before it is shown as finished.

  1. Week 1

    Discovery & brand workshop

A structured session and questionnaire about your business, audience, story and ambitions, plus the brands you love and the ones you don’t. A logo can only be as sharp as the brief behind it.

    Deliverables

    • Brand questionnaire
    • Signed-off brief
  2. Week 1

    Research & competitive audit

I map your competitors and the visual clichés of your category, study your customers’ context, then mark the territory that is still open and ownable.

    Deliverables

    • Competitor landscape
    • Ownable-space map
  3. Week 2

    Strategy & brand platform

Purpose, personality, promise and tone are distilled into a one-page platform, with three to five design principles that every sketch is judged against.

    Deliverables

    • Brand platform
    • Design principles
  4. Week 2

    Creative territories

Words become images: two or three distinct territories as moodboards with keywords, colour hints and reference typography, agreed with you before any logo is drawn.

    Deliverables

    • Moodboards
    • Territory keywords
  5. Week 2–3

    Sketching & ideation

Pencil first. Hundreds of thumbnails on paper to get past the obvious ideas (symbols, wordmarks, monograms and combinations), then a short list of the strongest routes.

    Deliverables

    • Sketch sheets
    • Shortlisted routes
  6. Week 3

    Digital construction

Shortlisted routes are rebuilt as vectors on a geometric grid: curves tuned with as few anchor points as possible, optical corrections, lettering kerned by eye, and balance checked in black and white first.

    Deliverables

    • Vector constructions
    • Grid & proportion study
  7. Week 4

    Presentation & refinement

Typically three routes are presented with a rationale and placed in real contexts. After your feedback one is chosen and polished over focused rounds of revision.

    Deliverables

    • Presentation deck
    • Contextual mockups
    • Revision rounds
  8. Week 5

    Stress test & identity system

The logo has to survive a 16px favicon, one colour, reversed, embroidery and a small avatar. Then colour, type, lockups, clear space and usage rules are set around it.

    Deliverables

    • Responsive logo set
    • Colour & type system
    • Usage rules
  9. Week 5

    Delivery & launch

You receive the full file kit and brand guidelines with a rollout checklist, plus a handover call so your team and printers use the brand correctly from day one.

    Deliverables

    • SVG, PDF & PNG files
    • Brand guidelines
    • Launch checklist
